Chapter one

When he was saved, God became his friend and companion. Eventually he felt called to be a worship leader. He learned much of the process of worship, and being with God. It got to a point were he was performing, and focusing on what people thought, his only time with God was when he was reading. He was playing his teqniques, not praising God. Eventually God again found him. He realized the only way to sucesfully lead worship was to be close to God, in constant persist of being close to him.

I was indeed moved by this chapter. I once been told that we don't choose God once, and follow him then on, but we need to choose him on a daily basis. To constantly pursue God is more than necessary for being an effective worship leader.

  1. It's easy to forget that we constantly need to search for God. To have a relationship with God and therefore be effective worship leaders, we should seek God every day in everything we do. We can have quality time with Him anywhere, we just need to actively reach out for Him.

  2. I love that quote you wrote. It is so true that following God is a daily choice. As worship leaders, it's so easy to go through life forgetting that God is a part of our daily life. I loved that you pointed this out because it is so easy to forget.

  3. Edward I really liked what you said about following God and how it's a daily choice. I think that's so true, especially as a worship leader. We can't feel self-righteous or like we're already perfect; we need to surrender to God everyday and follow him.

  5. I very indeed agree with what you said about choosing God on a daily basis as opposed to onece, and then moving on.
